Let me introduce myself.

My name is Rachel Snarch (she/her/hers) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Each person that walks through the door to my counselling office carries unique life challenges and asking for support can often be a difficult task. With that in mind, my priority is to create a therapeutic environment that is warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental. Humour is something that definitely comes out during sessions, and clients have described me as approachable, and easy to talk to. You’ll often find me in our session, cross legged in my chair, engaged and present.

Most importantly, I value your inner strength and knowledge and will work collaboratively with you to help meet your individual needs and goals.

By way of background, I obtained my Masters degree in Educational Counselling at the University of Ottawa and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at McGill University. With 10 (ish) years of combined clinical counselling experience and counselling education, I seek professional development opportunities on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that I stay current within the field of mental health and psychotherapy.

I would be honoured to support and work alongside you in your path for further self-exploration. I welcome you with unconditional acceptance and will provide a safe place to land.

I look forward to hearing from you.

It is an honour and privilege to live, work, and play on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
